Hey Nomad Crew

After a whirlwind of emotions and seasonal depression hit me like a brick wall, I knew something had to change.

We fall victim to planning ahead to what we want out of our lives but when it doesn’t happen the way you don’t accept it to happen. You get down on yourself, you start to think of it as a sense of failure to whatever it may be. And doesn’t mean that you didn’t reach that goal at this time when you wanted to reach it. Just accept it for what it is and take a step forward and rewrite it.

A lot of us will write our story before it even starts to happen. Expectations and reality start getting the better of us and get wrapped up in “I expected this” mindset so just stop that mindset. Step forward and rewrite.

If you are struggling to figure out why you are feeling this way, why you are having this emotional breakdown; just except what is. Just accept this is a part of your journey during this chapter of life, you are able to step forward and rewrite.

So find a quiet spot you can be alone with your thoughts and grab a journal. It’s important to check in with yourself to see where you are and how you are doing. We can fall into the habit of checking with our physical health but not our mental health. That needs to change and become a habit that should be part of your routine throughout the week.

Also doing little things throughout your day can help you stay focused on what you need to rewrite and what you don’t need to rewrite. Staying on top of this can seem impossible at first but it will because easier.

Have those treat yourself days like pamper yourself, take yourself for a bit to eat, do some therapy shopping, go on a mini adventure; just anything to get yourself out of the house and get your mind focused on something else. Once you are feeling stable, go home and journal + listen to some music.
